so far.....

we painted the Greek goddess' room behr's berry cheesecake, you can barely tell it is pink. i love it.

see the red polka dot fabric on bottom? i got it for $1.99 a yard at ikea. i wanted red curtains with white polka dots, but how do you say "no" to a $1.99/yd?

the free range twins never really used their sniglar crib. we will be using it for them:)
i would like to paint it red and make red and pink bumpers for it.

we bought the hemnes drawers in red at ikea, we will put the changing pad on top.

my carebear bought this lusy rug for the babe

our "high chair", the handysitt. it sits on your regular chair and doesn't take up floor space!

my skip hop duo deluxe diaper bag! so many pockets, and it hooks onto the stroller.

we are using cloth diapers, so we are using blueberry snap diaper cover for prefolds.

Monday Morning Anthropologie

does it always rain monday morning in tulsa?
i had a breakfast sundae at queenie's this morning, yummy yogurt, granola, bananas and strawberries in my tummy!
while eating this huge flatbed came to the anthro building bearing wood flooring. where this wood flooring is going, i don't know. looking at the inside i don't think they are ready for floors yet. o well. now to fold laundry, do dishes, and take things to goodwill.

i know i have been entering a lot of grosgrain giveaways lately but this i really NEED. i could wear it during my Greek initiation ceremony. i get one of those, right? i mean i married a Greek, giving birth to a Greek goddess....i get a ceremony, right?

34 Weeks

i helped put on the 6th annual scooter rally here in tulsa. today
we grilled hot dogs at the shop and did the raffle. we always
have a blast.

what fruit is my growing child inside me this week...
AN AVERAGE CANTALOUPE. my baby is an average
cantaloupe.

my handy dandy iphone app says that the lanugo is
shedding and of course the lungs are still developing.

i'm tired again. not much energy left in me, and all i want
to do is get things ready for the little Greek goddess.
she has been moving crazy ways lately. this way and that,
making me jump, my skin crawl, and making me feel
extraordinarily happy all at once.

after the end of the scooter rally my Greek and i took wink
and went back home to go paint the baby room. we picked
berry cheesecake. i wish i had a berry cheesecake.

Busy Day

this morning i woke up coughing and hacking, not even wanting to get out of bed to take the girls to school. so what did i decide to do, take them on a road trip instead. what am i , nuts? on our summer to-do list, which we copied from valerie, we put down that we were going to visit the tallgrass prairie outside of pawhuska, just like valerie did last week. she has so many good ideas! my little growing family has a couple of close friends whose family owned the ranch. their grandmother was a genuine cowgirl back when and has written a book about her days growing up there. my Greek has it tucked away somewhere...otherwise i'd tell you the name of the book. it was fun to drive through there and think of them as my kids' age running around all that land playing and riding horses. amazing.

well, we drove to pawhuska and went through the "gateway" to go get our chance to see the bison.

we finally drove through to the ranch house and information center. just as some sprinkles of rain came down. we signed the guest book and went in to look at all the bones, pelts, teeth, horns, and other odds and ends they have on tactile display there. just don't touch the stuffed animals for sale, the women working did not like the girls feeling the merch. we used the restroom and headed out to visit the trails.

i couldn't walk along the whole mile trail. i got tired after 100 feet. 34 weeks pregnant, with a cold, a bum leg, can't imagine why i couldn't make a mile.

on the way out of the reserve we did see a herd of bison near the horizon, far far far far far away. o well. maybe next time. we did have to stop for a herd of cows in the middle of the road we saw earlier behind the fence. how they got in the middle of the road, i don't know. getting to see the cows in the road was very entertaining. it was like when i would drive this back road to culinary school just so i could see if these pigs that lived on a farm behind the school got out so i could usher them back in the fence. i love farm animals.

we drove back through the gorgeous hills of OKlahoma to our beautiful green city of Tulsa. it really was a beautiful drive, i could barely keep my eyes on the road. part of me wishes i'd stayed in bed to fight off this cold, but i am glad we went.
