Feel Good

my carrie posted this a couple days ago and i have watched it once a day since. it makes me feel happy and full of life for some reason....so if you are feeling down and out, watch this.....

Date Night

it is so nice to spend some much needed one on one time with my Greek. we went bowling at dustbowl lanes downtown. this hole in the wall bowling alley looks much different than the empty warehouse that i refused to enter a couple years ago:) we had fun, we both own our own shoes and balls, we look like complete bowling dorks walking in with our bowling bags. i look such like a bowling poser, i am not good, but i own the gear. how could i pass up the opportunity to own my very own cute bowling shoes with flowers on them? after 2 beers, 10 pounds of cheesy tater tots, and 2 games we went to go see a little matisyahu at the cain's. i love matisyahu, i am not into jam band music but i do have a thing for his music and message. we listened to a couple songs and left, i can't handle glowing hula hoop jam band dancers. we went to ya-ya's to go pick up our bouncing bundle of joy and had lemon meringue pie! great night out.

St. Augustine, FL

after florence, we drove through georgia down the coast to jacksonville. my mom and dad then drove us to st. augustine so the girls and i could go to the beach while they browsed around. all three girls have been to each coast now, now we just have to go swimming in the pacific, not feet wading. we had a blast, it was the fourth of july but not too many people out. we set up camp, a blanket and tent, then played in the water till we were the only ones left. beila and june had the best time playing in the waves while popi and i sat on the sand bar in the shallow end and watched fishies. there were many times when i had to walk down the beach and bring the girls back to where we were, the waves take you down the beach. we had the best time together, got tuckered out, took naps, applied sunblock, found a jelly fish, got sand in everything, and had the best 4th of july!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

we had a dancey-dance time last night at yo gabba gabba live! everyone was there in person. it was awesome. we danced, jumped, sung, had a $4 sno cone. we sat on the floor but on the sides would have been better. we were lucky that no one was behind us so we stood on our chairs the whole time. popi slept through half of the show and enjoyed watching the 2nd half with us. we were going to head over to the garden diva party afterward, but it was cold and we were hungry. a hot meal at bros. hooligan ended our wonderful night!

Thrifting Friday

Corn Maize OOpsie

valerie, lauren, and i tried to take the kids to the corn maize in way out oklahoma tuesday, well, a 45 minute drive from our midtown oasis anyways. our luck, lauren and i both totally missed the hours part of their webpage and did not notice that they were closed tuesday. so we took the brood to atwoods so i could get chicken feed and we let the kids pick out stick candy. it was an odd outing, yes, but somehow not terrible. we all had a pretty good laugh.

Luchapalooza 2010

this past weekend we went to luchapalooza hosted by elote in downtown tulsa. it was all about luche libre and the luchadores.
there were 12 fights with tulsa's own local luchadores, lots of food, gelato by mods, crafts, music and friends. we had so much fun, i highly recommend you go next year. we will definitely go back in 2011!
