Gardens, Nettie Pots, and Snow

That's Foo Fa helping me weed the garden today. I didn't want to weed the garden even though it was gorgeous outside. Normally I love to sit and weed through dirt for hours, (no, really, I do.) but I am on my second day of a cold. I have a this cold two other times in a matter of 6 weeks. Two weeks being hit by the cold train, one week off, another two weeks hacking and coughing not being able to take any good drug to stop my pain, one week off. Now I am on the cold train for the 3rd freaking time. My nettie pot is my best natropathic friend. I get excited to fill it with my salt and baking soda concoction along with warm water and let gravity do it's work. Well sometimes it works. Like right now the water just goes up my nose and just sits there. Awesome. I just want to breathe.

I had to get some gardening finished today. The wonderful, sunny, 70 degree weather we had today is being replaced by rain and snow tomorrow. I got some sun today, on my cheeks and shoulders. It's nice to be rosey again. I sat outside for 2 hours with my bonus mother(marc-ee's mommy) at a patio cafe chatting and slurping my virgin margarita in a tank top and sandals, wondering how this sky was going to produce snow. Will Rogers once quipped, "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a minute and it'll change." It is so hard to get things planted in the timeline you are suppose to in OKlahoma. Our weather is odd to say the least. The ground thawed out then, BAM!, more rain and snow. No tilling in time for me. Nature does not want me to plant my potatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, or peas. Selfish nature. I planted them any ways today. I had to. I can't wait till a fall planting on those. I need them.

Here are Saffron and Chocolate "helping."
