My dream last night
It was an odd dream, I woke up right after that with tears in my eyes. It was strange.

Then they got cold and we went inside to keep ourselves occupied while no one came to buy scooters that day.
Now the snow is gone and I am waiting for the ground to dry so I can till the garden and get things in the ground. We are also working hard on getting the airstream in tip top condition to drive it to Coachella in a less than 2 weeks. We are so BUSY!

spring break
we started the day off with family breakfast with the twins at wild fork and ended up being late to work, oops.
we got a shipment of 7 scoots today and the girls both helped me take plastic and bubble wrap off of them and take the cardboard to the back. they are great helpers, but so much energy. then who appeared out of no where? the ice cream man! so we had to get batman for beila and tweety for juniper. i loved the pink panther one when i was a kid. i did opt for the carmel and pecan ice cream bar for myself. energy galore!
bubbe came and took them to her house to dig in the dirt, thank goodness. they played in the dirt all afternoon there. gardening is what we do best a bubbe's.
for dinner we met the twins again, this time at pei wei. beila fell asleep in the car and slept all through dinner anad the ride home. such an exhasting day. i am ready to jump in bed myself.

Weeks Pass
The weeks have been spinning out of control for me. We are out of scooters at the shop, dealing with mass customers and no inventory is hard. Juni is back in swim class for two weeks, Beila had her 2nd birthday, my tomatoes are coming in, I had a photo shoot, and there are places to be and people to see.
Today Marc, Beila and I met up with friends for lunch at my favorite soul food restaurant, Evelyn's, for lunch. I love the turkey and dressing, but they only have that on friday. I had the fried chicken, okra and tomatoes, and braised cabbage. Then for dessert ice milk and blackberry cobbler. It was so yummy! Beila had mac and cheese. She is so funny, she had the tiny macaroni in her hand up to her ear using as a phone. So by the end of lunch she had cheese all over the side of her head. She has been pee-peeing in the potty some too. I am ecstatic about this transition. She pee-pees in the toilet at least once a day with my prompting. I take this as a wonderful sign.
Thursday nights are usually family night at Utica Square, a local outdoor shopping mall. They have live music every thursday nights. My best friends Marvin and Kristen, their twins Olive and Calder, with Juni and Beila, Marc and I pack picnic dinner and head out for music, food, wine, and crowds. Every thursday night. But tonight there was 3 art openings. Free food and wine. In the summer we head downtown and walk around to the openings to eat dinner with the kids in tow while browsing the art. There was a fun show at Living Arts, phallic looking playground swings with saddles and hay. There was olives for the kids to eat and things to touch, we were there for awhile to say the least. Beila's 2nd birthday party was a crazy weekend. I was up the saturday night before her party cleaning till 2 in the morning. I was cleaning with bleach at one point, something I rarely use. I woke up in the morning and could not function. My skin was hot to the touch, itchy and red. I had waves of nausea, a headache like a thousand people in my head hitting my brain, and trouble breathing. I took my clothes off and sat in the recliner hunched over so my skin could not touch anything. I felt like I was going to pass out. I had a cake to decorate, hot dogs to grill, things to get ready before people came over for birthday time. I called Marc and he came over early to help me. He wanted to take me to the emergency room. I don't remember much, I was out of it. I sat in a state of jumbled confusion and pain during Beila's party and relied heavily on my family and Marc to make her birthday happen. Everyone tried to get me to go to the hospital, but I knew I would get better. It took a couple days for the pounding headache to go away. I still do not know what happened to me. The only thing we can think of is my exposure to bleach. See if I ever clean again. Juniper's swim lessons are going great. She is diving to the bottom of the pool to get rings off the bottom, and floating on her back like she was in the Dead Sea. She is doing very well at reading at school too. She is my budding genius. Well, off to make waffles for Marc.

Sugar
Last night for dinner Marc and I went to PF Chang's. Yummy moo goo gai pan and brown rice was my dinner option. And then, for dessert, they had these little shot glasses filled with a tiny chocolate cake, or apple crumble, or tres leches, or cheese cake. I ordered cheese cake, even though I am not usually a partaker of the cheese cake, and Marc had the chocolate. It was the perfect amount of sugar. I felt satiated, but at the same time I could have eaten 20 more of them. We then went down to the Cellar Dweller and Annie made me a delicious malibu and orange juice concoction in a tiki cup. I always feel special when I drink out of a tiki cup. Alcohol has a lot of sugar. I guess if I am going to be true to this whole no sugar thing then there has to be no alcohol for me. MMM, Marc is here, gotta go.

let me introduce myself
my name is sacha, i live in tulsa, oklahoma.i am a month shy of thirty, run a snazzy scooter shop, and am a divorced mom of two gorgeous gals, juniper 4.5 years old, and beila who will be 2 years old in a week on the 23rd.
we live in a red brick house with our house-mate annie and her 7 year old son noah. our animals include a red dog named sallie, a st. bernard named whitman, a black and white cat named toe, and up until recently 4 chickens, 2 neighboring dogs ate them for dinner one day.
right now the girls are at parks' house, their dad. i miss them on these days but love the relief of my eyes darting everywhere looking for the rug rats. i am very lucky that juni and beila get to go to work with me, but i am constantly looking for them, making sure they have not wandered out of the garage door.
right now i am at work with nathan and cara and brad. we are listening to alcione on the brazilian station and watching the rain pitter-patter on the scooters outside. sort of comforting. i hope the rain lets up soon, i rode my bajaj to work!
